Do you have sore feet? sore knees? a sore low back? Orthotics may be the answer!

You may be a candidate for orthotic therapy! Biomechanical foot dysfunction occurs in 7 out of 10 people so it is not uncommon. If your feet are not functioning properly, then they are not ideally absorbing the shock from the ground as you walk. This dysfunction can result in painful syndromes such as plantar fasciitis, heel spurs, osteoarthritis in the knees, bunions, and many more. Orthotic therapy can treat or prevent these conditions.

In our office, orthotic assessments are done either by our chiropractors or by a chiropodist. Our Chiropodist is Clarissa DeLeon, D.POD.M.

The assessment includes a thorough patient history, a gait assessment and a 3D scanner on an iPad. In some cases, we also provide foam and plaster casting if your insurance requires these techniques.

Most extended health care coverage plans cover orthotics to some degree. Check with your provider so that you are clear about your coverage.
